## Key Technical Definitions

### Burglar Resistance (EN 1627)

RC (Resistance Class) — burglar resistance classification under European Standard EN 1627:2021:

- **RC2**: Entry-level certified burglar resistance. Resists simple tools (chisel, screwdriver, wedge, hacksaw). Suitable for residential and light commercial premises.
- **RC3**: Resists heavy-duty manual tools (crowbar, locksmith hammer, hand drill). Common for shops, pharmacies, medium-risk commercial premises.
- **RC4**: Resists power tools (cordless drill, angle grinder ≤400W, reciprocating saw). Standard for banks, government buildings, data centres, embassies.
- **RC5**: Resists high-power tools (650W electric drill, angle grinder, jigsaw). For bank vaults, military facilities, prisons, panic rooms.
- **RC6**: Highest class. Resists 1050W drill, 2300W angle grinder with 230mm cutting disc. For central bank vaults, military command centres.

### Bullet Resistance (EN 1522 / EN 1523)

FB (Firearms Bullet) — ballistic resistance classification under European Standard EN 1522:

- **FB4**: Resists .44 Magnum (SCP) at 440 m/s. For banks, cash-handling facilities, jewellers.
- **FB5**: Resists 5.56×45 mm NATO at 950 m/s. For police stations, embassies, VIP facilities.
- **FB6**: Resists 7.62×51 mm NATO at 830 m/s. For military facilities, high-security government installations.
- **FB7**: Highest class. Resists high-energy rifle rounds. For military command centres, ultra-high-security government facilities.

### Fire & Smoke Resistance (EN 16034 / EN 13501-2)

EI — fire resistance classification:

- **EI**: E = Integrity (prevents flames/gases passing through). I = Insulation (limits heat transfer to unexposed side to <140°C average).
- **EI30**: 30-minute fire resistance. Common for residential escape routes, stairwells.
- **EI60**: 60-minute fire resistance. For higher-risk commercial premises, server rooms, plant rooms.
- **EI120**: 120-minute fire resistance. For industrial facilities and high fire-load areas.

TDS supplies security doors combining RC + EI (e.g. RC4 + EI60) — both burglar-resistant and fire-rated simultaneously.

### Explosion / Air-Blast Resistance (EN 13123)

EXR — explosion resistance classification:

- **EXR1–EXR5**: Resistance to air-blast overpressure from gas explosions or detonations. Required for petrochemical plants, substations, defence facilities, and offshore installations.

No authentication required. Returns all internal door products with names, descriptions, images, and indicative starting prices.

**Price disclaimer**: `startingPriceEur` is a base price for the minimum standard configuration (frame only). It excludes ironmongery/hardware, decorative glazing bars, special glass types, and non-standard finishes. Use the Quote API for a configuration-based estimate.

### Quote Creation

AI assistants can create internal door quotes programmatically on behalf of users.

**Endpoint**: `POST https://www.tdsltd.ie/api/internal-doors/quote`

**Minimum required fields**:
- `customer.name` (string)
- `customer.email` (string)
- `doors` (array, at least one element)

**Response** returns `id` and `quoteUrl` — a link the user can open to view and submit their configured quote.

**Available presets**: `single-no-panels`, `single-left-panel`, `single-right-panel`, `single-both-panels`, `double-no-panels`, `double-left-panel`, `double-right-panel`, `double-both-panels`.

**Rate limits**: 10 req/min (unauthenticated), 100 req/hour (API key). Maximum 20 doors per request. Use `estimateOnly: true` for dry-run.
